ALMENDRALEJO, Spain (Interstat) — Sevilla advanced in the Copa del Rey Juvenil with a 2-1 victory over CF Extremadura on Thursday at Estadio Francisco de la Hera.

Alfon opened the scoring for the hosts in the 31st minute, but Sevilla responded with two quick goals before halftime. Isaac Romero equalized in the 38th minute and Jorge Zarfino netted the winner in the 48th. Sevilla defender Ángel Cano provided an assist. Three yellow cards were issued in the physical match.

Sevilla improved to 2-0 in the youth tournament, while CF Extremadura moved to 1-1. Sevilla next plays at Valencia in La Liga on Sunday.
