MADRID (Interstat) — Real Sociedad’s youth side looks to rebound from a weekend defeat when it visits Reus FC Reddis in the Copa del Rey Juvenil round of 32 on Wednesday.

The match, set for Dec. 3, 2025, pits a first-division academy against a club from Spain’s regional tiers. Real Sociedad enters after a 3-2 home loss to Villarreal CF on Sunday, snapping a run of positive form. Prior to that, the team had won three of its last four outings, including a 3-1 victory at Osasuna on Nov. 22.

Reus FC Reddis last played on Oct. 29, drawing CE Europa U19 2-2. The home side will rely on its underdog status and local support to challenge the favored visitors.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Reus FC Reddis 2, Real Sociedad 1. Such an upset would be a major coup for the hosts.

For Real Sociedad, the cup fixture is a brief diversion from a demanding domestic league schedule. The senior club’s next match is at Deportivo Alaves on Dec. 6 in La Liga play.
