SORIA, Spain (Interstat) — Visiting Mallorca earned a 3-2 victory over Numancia in a Copa del Rey Juvenil match on Tuesday at Nuevo Estadio Los Pajaritos, overcoming an early deficit.

Mallorca’s Abdón Prats scored twice and Javier Llabrés added a goal. Numancia answered with goals from Jonathan Gonzalez and defender Fabrizio Danese, who also had an assist. The result defied a pre-game projection that favored Numancia. Five yellow cards were issued in a contentious second half. Mallorca begins the competition with a win.
