TILBURG, Netherlands (Interstat) — Sparta Rotterdam delivered a dominant 5-1 victory over Willem II in a KNVB Beker Women’s tournament match Thursday at Koning Willem II Stadion.

The visitors overwhelmed the home side, with substitute Shunsuke Mito scoring twice in the first half. Raffael Behounek, Nökkvi Þórisson and Lance Duijvestijn added second-half goals for Sparta Rotterdam. Willem II’s lone reply came from Tobias Lauritsen.

The result defied a pregame projection that forecast a draw. Sparta Rotterdam improved to 1-0 in the tournament, while Willem II fell to 0-1.
