(Interstat) — Preview: Willem II vs. Sparta Rotterdam in KNVB Beker Women

A compelling clash is set for Thursday as Willem II hosts Sparta Rotterdam in a KNVB Beker Women fixture. The match, scheduled for Dec. 18, 2025, features two sides entering with considerable momentum from dominant victories in late October.

Willem II arrives following an emphatic 7-0 home triumph over FC Dordrecht on Oct. 30. That result demonstrated a potent attack that Sparta Rotterdam’s defense must contain.

Sparta Rotterdam, however, also showcased its offensive firepower on the same date, securing a 5-2 victory over FC Groningen. Key contributors in that win included forward Samuel Bamba, who scored a goal, alongside forward Nick Doodeman and midfielder Uriel van Aalst. All three were substituted out of that match.

Despite Willem II’s home advantage and Sparta’s recent high-scoring performance, Interstat’s game simulator projects a tightly contested draw. The simulation forecasts a final score of Willem II 2, Sparta Rotterdam 2.

The matchup presents a tactical duel between Willem II’s explosive, confidence-boosting form and a Sparta Rotterdam side that has proven it can find the net against league opposition. Both teams will look to carry their October scoring prowess into this cup contest.

Kickoff is Thursday at Willem II’s stadium. The winner will advance in the knockout tournament organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB).
