BARCELONA, Spain (Interstat) — Barcelona opened its La Liga season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Spotify Camp Nou. Ferrán Torres led the rout with two goals, while Robert Lewandowski and Fermin López also scored. The match turned decisively when Athletic Bilbao’s Oihan Sancet was shown a red card in the 54th minute. The lopsided result defied a pregame projection that forecast a closer contest.
