CÓRDOBA, Argentina (Interstat) — Instituto AC Córdoba defeated crosstown rival CA Talleres 1-0 on Sunday in a Primera Nacional match at Estadio Juan Domingo Perón. The lone goal, scored in a match defined by defensive substitutions and physical play, was enough to secure the victory for the hosts. The loss halts Talleres’ two-match winning streak. Both clubs now hold identical 5-7-5 records in the Primera Nacional competition this season. The chippy contest featured eight yellow cards, with four issued to substitutes in a frantic second half.
