BRAGANCA PAULISTA, Brazil (Interstat) — RB Bragantino opened its Carioca Série A campaign with a 2-0 victory over Atletico Mineiro on Sunday, defying pregame projections. The match at Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques saw both goals scored in a four-minute span early in the second half. Midfielder Lucas Barbosa opened the scoring in the 55th minute, followed by a goal from defender Gustavo Marques in the 59th. The result handed Atletico Mineiro a loss in its season opener.
