AMIENS, France (Interstat) — Nancy opened its Ligue 2 youth campaign with a 2-1 victory over Amiens AC U19 on Saturday at Stade Crédit Agricole la Licorne.

Substitute Elydjah Mendy gave the visiting side an early lead in the 11th minute. The match remained tight until Nancy forward Yanis Rafii doubled the advantage in the 73rd minute. Amiens found a late consolation goal through substitute Zakaria Fdaouch in added time, assisted by fellow substitute Jimmy Evans.

The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat that favored Nancy but forecast a draw. Nancy begins the competition with a perfect record, while Amiens starts with a defeat. The match featured three yellow cards, issued to substitutes Martin Expérience, Rayan Bamba and Evans.
