CA Talleres vs Platense
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Interstat) — Two struggling sides will look to reverse their fortunes when CA Talleres hosts Platense in a Primera Nacional fixture on Saturday.
The match at Talleres’ home ground pits two clubs in the bottom half of Argentina’s second-tier table. Talleres (4-6-5) sits just above Platense (5-6-8) in the standings, with both teams having accrued 17 points from 15 matches.
Form, however, appears to favor the hosts. Talleres is coming off a 1-0 road victory over Velez Sarsfield on Nov. 1, a result that snapped a two-game losing streak. That win provided a rare bright spot in an otherwise difficult season across all competitions, where Talleres holds an 8-12-7 overall record.
Platense, meanwhile, is winless in its last four outings. It managed a 1-1 home draw with Sarmiento on Monday, but prior to that suffered consecutive 3-0 and 1-0 losses to Independiente and Rosario Central, respectively. The club’s form has been poor throughout the season, with a 7-16-9 record across all tournaments.
The recent head-to-head history also gives Talleres an edge. The clubs last met on May 7, with Talleres securing a 2-1 victory in Platense’s stadium.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the trend of Talleres victories is likely to continue, projecting a 3-1 final score in favor of the home side.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
