GUAYAQUIL, Ecuador (Interstat) — Aucas and El Nacional will meet for the third time this season in a Liga Pro fixture on Saturday, with the hosts looking to complete a head-to-head sweep.

Aucas (11-10-12) enters the match at their home stadium sitting just above El Nacional (9-14-7) in the league table. The home side is coming off a 2-1 road victory over C.D. Cuenca on Oct. 26.

El Nacional, meanwhile, snapped a three-match losing streak with a 2-0 home win against Macara on the same date. Their recent form has been inconsistent, with the club conceding four goals to Emelec in a September loss but also securing a 3-0 win over Delfin in August.

The two Quito-based clubs have faced off twice already in 2025, with Aucas earning 1-0 victories in both instances — at home on July 14 and on the road on March 16.

Across all competitions, both teams hold identical 13-win records this season. Aucas, however, has fewer losses (12) compared to El Nacional’s 16.

According to a projection from Interstat’s game simulator, the match is expected to end in a 1-1 draw, a result that would break Aucas’ winning streak in the fixture but extend El Nacional’s recent unbeaten run to two games.
