ZDRALOVI, Croatia (Interstat) — Duje Čop scored a hat trick as HNK Rijeka delivered a stunning 4-1 victory over NK Mladost Ždralovi in a Croatian Cup match on Wednesday, defying heavy pre-game odds. The visiting top-flight side won decisively at Igralište NK Mladost.

Mario Nikolić gave the home side an early lead in the 5th minute, but Čop equalized before halftime. He scored again in the 51st and 62nd minutes, bookending a goal from Samuele Vignato in the 58th. The result contradicted a statistical projection that heavily favored Mladost Ždralovi.
