LA CALERA, Chile (Interstat) — Deportes Iquique opened its season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Union La Calera in Chile’s Primera División on Friday. Substitute Álvaro Ramos gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute at Estadio Municipal Nicolás Chahuán Nazar. Union La Calera equalized in the 29th minute on a goal from Joaquín Soto, but Misael Dávila, another substitute, scored the winner for Deportes Iquique just four minutes later. The result was an upset, as Union La Calera was the statistical favorite to win. The match saw a red card issued to Fabrizio Tomarelli in the 56th minute.
