Union La Calera vs Deportes Iquique

SANTIAGO, Chile (Interstat) — Two Chilean clubs mired at the bottom of the Primera División table will seek a positive result when Unión La Calera hosts Deportes Iquique on Friday.

The matchup at Estadio Municipal Nicolás Chahuán Nazar features two teams struggling for form. La Calera sits 13th in the league with a record of 10-17-10. Iquique is in last place at 5-21-9. Across all competitions, La Calera is 13-21-15, while Iquique has managed just nine wins against 30 losses and 12 draws.

Both teams are looking to rebound from recent defeats. La Calera is coming off a 2-0 loss to Coquimbo Unido on Nov. 2, which snapped a brief winning run that included a 3-0 victory over Ñublense on Oct. 26.

Iquique’s form remains dire, with a 2-1 home loss to La Serena on Oct. 31 extending its winless streak in the league. Its last league victory dates to late July.

Recent history favors the hosts. La Calera has won the last two head-to-head meetings, both 1-0 results in Iquique in May of this year.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw. A point would offer little relief for either side in their attempts to climb the standings.

Kickoff is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
