GENOA, Italy (Interstat) — Two of Serie A’s struggling sides will meet Sunday when Genoa hosts Fiorentina at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The match pits teams mired in the lower half of the Italian top-flight table. Genoa (1-6-5) sits just above Fiorentina (0-7-4) in the standings, with both clubs seeking a rare league victory to spark their campaigns.

Fiorentina enters with momentum from a 2-1 win at Germany’s FSV Mainz 05 in a UEFA Europa Conference League match on Thursday. That result, however, stands in stark contrast to their dismal Serie A form, where they are one of only two teams yet to record a win this season. Their league performances have been plagued by heavy defeats, including a 7-1 loss to Juventus and a 3-0 defeat to Inter Milan.

Genoa is coming off a 2-1 road victory against Sassuolo on Monday, a rare bright spot in a season with only one other win across all competitions. Their home form has been a particular weakness, failing to secure a win at the Ferraris in league play this season.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.

The fixture is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025. Fiorentina’s next match is at home against Juventus on Nov. 22, while Genoa travels to face Cagliari the same day.
