MILAN (Interstat) — Atalanta and AC Milan played to a 1-1 draw in their Serie A opener Tuesday at New Balance Arena. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side.

Samuele Ricci gave the visiting Rossoneri an early lead in the fourth minute. Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman responded with the equalizer in the 35th minute. Both teams begin their league campaigns with a draw and remain unbeaten across all competitions this season.
