CHARENTSVAN, Armenia (Interstat) — The home side Van earned a 3-2 victory over Yerevan in an Armenian Premier League match on Sunday. Van opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a goal from Eriki. Yerevan equalized through Petik Manukyan in the 28th minute before Lucas Brune Café put Van back ahead just after halftime. Grenik Petrsoyan added another for Yerevan, but it wasn’t enough as Van secured the win. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which had given Van a high probability to win but simulated a 2-2 draw. With the win, Van begins its season 1-0, while Yerevan starts 0-1.
