Falkirk FC vs Kilmarnock
Preview: Falkirk FC Hosts Kilmarnock in Scottish Premiership Clash
GLASGOW, Scotland (Interstat) — Falkirk FC will look to continue its recent dominance over Kilmarnock when the sides meet in a Scottish Premiership match at Falkirk Stadium on Saturday.
The hosts enter the contest holding a clear psychological edge, having won the last two head-to-head meetings this season. Falkirk secured a 1-0 victory at Rugby Park on Dec. 20 and followed with a 3-1 home win on Nov. 1.
Current form, however, presents a more complex picture. Falkirk (10-7-9) is seeking to rebound from consecutive 1-0 losses, first at Dundee United on Feb. 14 and then at Heart of Midlothian last Saturday. Prior to that stumble, manager John McGlynn’s side had shown resilience, winning four of its previous five league matches, including notable victories over Hibernian and Aberdeen.
Kilmarnock (7-8-11) arrives after a 1-1 draw at Dundee United last weekend, a result that halted a two-game skid. Derek McInnes’ squad has been inconsistent in 2026, with its campaign marked by dramatic highs and lows. A thrilling 4-3 win over St. Mirren on Feb. 11 was sandwiched between heavy defeats to Rangers (5-1) and Celtic (3-2). Their away form has been particularly concerning, with just one win in their last five league travels.
A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a decisive 4-1 victory for the home side, a scoreline that would represent Falkirk’s largest margin of victory in the fixture this season.
The match carries significance in the tightly packed middle of the Premiership table. A win for Falkirk could solidify its top-six aspirations, while Kilmarnock aims to string together positive results to create distance from the relegation zone.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) on Saturday, Feb. 28.
