Dundee vs Saint Mirren

GLASGOW, Scotland (Interstat) — Dundee and St. Mirren, two sides seeking to reverse recent poor form, will meet in a Scottish Premiership fixture on Saturday.

The match at Dens Park pits a Dundee squad coming off a 2-0 loss to Hibernian against a St. Mirren team that fell 1-0 to league-leader Celtic last weekend. Both clubs have struggled to find consistent results this season.

St. Mirren (2-6-4) has been held scoreless in three of its last four matches, including the losses to Celtic and Hibernian. Its season, however, has been marked by high-scoring affairs, including a wild 6-5 victory over Hearts and a 7-5 win against Kilmarnock in September, demonstrating a potent but sometimes vulnerable attack.

Dundee (1-5-6) has found goals particularly hard to come by, having failed to score in five of its last seven Premiership contests. A 3-2 win over Livingston in September and a 5-0 victory against Montrose in the League Cup in July are rare bright spots in an otherwise difficult campaign.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the most likely outcome is a 1-1 draw.

Following this match, Dundee faces a difficult trip to face Celtic on Dec. 3. St. Mirren’s schedule continues with a visit to Aberdeen FC on the same date.
