PORTO, Portugal (Interstat) — William Gomes scored in the eighth minute to give Porto a 1-0 victory over Estoril in a Primeira Liga match on Sunday at Estádio do Dragão.

The early goal, assisted by Ricard Sánchez, was all the hosts needed as their defense held firm. The result gave Porto its first league win of the season, improving its record to 1-0. Estoril fell to 0-1.
