Porto vs Estoril

PORTO, Portugal (Interstat) — Porto looks to continue its dominant domestic form when it hosts a resurgent Estoril side in a Primeira Liga match on Sunday.

The Dragons (8-1-0) enter the contest at the Estadio do Dragao as the clear favorites, sitting atop the league table and riding a nine-game winning streak across all competitions. Porto is coming off a 3-0 victory over Sintrense last Saturday and has outscored opponents 23-4 during its current run. Their last league loss was the season opener.

Estoril (3-4-4), however, arrives with momentum of its own, having won two of its last three league matches before a narrow 2-1 home defeat to Famalicao last Saturday. That result snapped a two-game winning streak that featured a wild 4-3 victory over Arouca and a 4-0 rout of Rio Ave, showcasing the team’s potent but inconsistent attack.

The matchup pits Porto’s formidable defense, which has conceded just one goal in its last five league outings, against an Estoril offense that has scored nine times in its last three Primeira Liga games.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Porto is projected to win 2-0.

Following this match, Porto travels to face Tondela on Dec. 7, while Estoril hosts Moreirense the same day.
