RIO DE JANEIRO (Interstat) — Rio Ave, riding an unbeaten start in Primeira Liga play, will host a struggling Estoril side on Saturday in a Portuguese top-flight football matchup.

The game at the Estádio do Rio Ave Futebol Clube pits two teams on divergent trajectories. Rio Ave sits comfortably in the league table with two wins and four draws from its first six matches. Across all competitions, the club has three wins, two losses and four draws, and is coming off a 2-1 victory over Estrela Amadora last Saturday.

Estoril, conversely, is seeking its first league win of the season. Through seven Primeira Liga matches, the team has recorded four draws against three losses. Their overall form is only marginally better, with one win, three losses and four draws. Estoril is coming off a 1-1 home draw with Nacional.

A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a 1-1 draw, a result that would extend Rio Ave’s unbeaten league run and add another stalemate to Estoril’s record.
