Clyde Topples Stirling Albion in League Two Season Opener
HAMILTON, Scotland (Interstat) — Clyde opened its Scottish League Two season with a commanding 3-1 victory over Stirling Albion at New Douglas Park on Saturday.
The home side seized control early, with Marley Redfern scoring in the 17th minute. Substitute Robbie McNab, who entered after an injury, quickly made his mark by scoring in the 21st and assisting Scott Williamson’s goal in the 28th. Stirling Albion found a consolation goal in the 77th minute through a second strike from Redfern.
McNab and Stirling Albion’s Billy Hutchingson received yellow cards. The result defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw, solidifying Clyde’s strong start to the campaign.
