AEK Athens vs Atromitos
AEK Athens Looks to Extend Unbeaten Run Against Struggling Atromitos
ATHENS, Greece (Interstat) — AEK Athens will aim to continue its climb up the Super League 1 table when it hosts a slumping Atromitos side at OPAP Arena on Sunday.
The match, scheduled for Dec. 7, 2025, pits one of the league’s hottest teams against one searching for any positive result. AEK Athens enters on a four-match winning streak across all competitions, most recently defeating OFI 2-0 on Wednesday. That followed a dramatic 3-2 victory at rival PAOK last Sunday.
Atromitos, meanwhile, is mired in a four-game losing streak in league play. Its most recent result was a 1-0 home loss to Asteras Tripolis on Nov. 30. The team has been shut out in three of those four defeats and has not won in the Super League since Oct. 25.
Despite the contrasting form, a statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a tight 1-1 draw. AEK Athens has been strong at home this season, with its only league loss at OPAP Arena coming against powerhouse Olympiakós on Oct. 26.
Atromitos will need to reverse a severe defensive trend to compete; it has conceded 10 goals during its current losing skid. AEK Athens’ attack, led by its recent output of nine goals in the last four matches, will look to exploit that vulnerability.
This is the first league meeting between the clubs this season. Following this match, AEK Athens will travel to face Puebla in a non-league fixture on Dec. 14. Atromitos will host PAOK B in league action the same day.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. local time (1700 GMT).
