HERNING, Denmark (Interstat) — Midtjylland scored four goals in a stunning 14-minute span to overpower Silkeborg 4-0 in the DBU Pokalen on Thursday at MCH Arena. The match exploded in the 70th minute when Denil Castillo opened the scoring. Victor Jensen and Franculino Djú followed with goals in the 72nd and 77th minutes, respectively, before substitute Mads Freundlich capped the rout in the 84th. The dominant victory, which far exceeded a pregame projection of a 2-0 win, gave Midtjylland a perfect start across all competitions this season. Silkeborg, which was given just a 4.6% chance to win by statistical models, remains winless.
