BODO, Norway (Interstat) — Bodo/Glimt opened its Eliteserien season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Fredrikstad on Sunday at Aspmyra Stadion. The home side scored three times in an eight-minute span late in the first half to secure the win.

Jens Hauge opened the scoring in the 37th minute, followed by goals from Fredrik Bjørkan and Ole Didrik Blomberg before halftime. Andreas Helmersen and Mathias Jørgensen added second-half goals to complete the rout. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which gave Bodo/Glimt a 76.5 percent chance to win but forecast a much closer 2-1 scoreline.
