France Dominates Ukraine in World Cup Qualifier
PARIS (Interstat) — France opened its World Cup qualifying campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Ukraine on Thursday at Parc des Princes. The hosts broke through with a flurry of late goals after a scoreless first half. Michael Olise opened the scoring in the 76th minute, followed by a quick brace from Kylian Mbappé, who scored in the 83rd and 88th minutes. Hugo Ekitike also found the net in the 88th minute to complete the rout. The result defied a pregame projection that had France winning by a narrower margin.
