Feyenoord Opens Season With Dominant Win Over Heracles

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (Interstat) — Feyenoord opened its Eredivisie campaign with a commanding 4-2 victory over Heracles at Stadion Feijenoord on Sunday.

The hosts established control early with first-half goals from forward Leo Sauer in the 23rd minute and defender Jordy Bos in the 35th. Heracles found a response after the break, with Anis Hadj Moussa and Casper Tengstedt scoring in the 83rd and 85th minutes to level the match.

Feyenoord quickly extinguished the comeback, however, as substitute Tristan van Gilst netted the decisive goal in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Feyenoord by a narrower margin.

The match featured six yellow cards, with four issued to Heracles players. The win gives Feyenoord a perfect start to the season, while Heracles begins with a loss.
