The matchup pits two sides level on 20 points in the league table, though Ajax has played two fewer games. Ajax sits at 5-1-5 in Eredivisie play, while Utrecht is 5-5-5. Across all competitions, Utrecht holds the better overall record at 10-5-6, compared to Ajax’s 5-2-5.

Ajax arrives after a 1-1 home draw with Heerenveen last Saturday, a result that continued a pattern of draws for the Amsterdam side. Their form has been inconsistent, with a 3-2 win at Twente preceded by a 2-0 loss to AZ Alkmaar.

Utrecht enters with momentum from a 1-0 victory over NEC last Sunday. However, their league form has been volatile, exemplified by a 4-1 loss to AZ and a 3-2 defeat to Feyenoord in October, mixed with convincing wins.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Ajax is projected to secure a 2-1 victory.

Following this contest, Ajax’s next Eredivisie fixture is at home against Excelsior on Nov. 22. Utrecht will travel to face Telstar in the league on Nov. 23. The two clubs will meet again in Amsterdam on May 10, 2026, to conclude their league series.
