DOHA, Qatar (Interstat) — Adil Boulbina’s first-half hat trick powered Al Duhail to a 4-2 victory over Al Ittihad SCSC in the AFC Champions League on Monday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. Boulbina scored in the 5th, 33rd and 53rd minutes to give the home side a commanding lead. Al Ittihad responded with two late goals from substitute Karim Benzema in the 76th and 83rd minutes, but the comeback bid fell short. The result defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw, handing Al Duhail a winning start to its group stage campaign.
