Al Duhail vs Al Ittihad SCSC
DOHA, Qatar (Interstat) — A crucial AFC Champions League match is set for Monday as Qatar’s Al Duhail hosts Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad SCSC. The Group Stage fixture at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium will feature two clubs seeking consistency in continental play.
Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) arrives with momentum from a 3-0 domestic victory over Sharjah on Nov. 4. Their form, however, has been mixed, with a 1-1-1 record in their last three matches across all competitions. The club will look to capitalize on its potent attack, which scored four goals against Al Shorta SC in a win on Oct. 20.
Conversely, Al Duhail is reeling from a 3-2 home loss to Al Ahli this past Friday. The Qatari side has struggled defensively, conceding three or more goals in four of its last eight matches, including a 6-1 defeat to Al Gharafa on Oct. 10. Their lone victory in the last five outings was a 4-1 win over Shabab Al Ahli on Nov. 3.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the match is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.
Following this contest, Al Ittihad’s next Champions League match is at home against PFK Nasaf on Dec. 23. Al Duhail’s next scheduled match is on Dec. 22 against Deutscher Fussba.
