WORKENDAM, Netherlands (Interstat) — Second-half substitute Bas Brussaard scored in the 14th minute and fellow reserve Tjeu Langeveld added a 79th-minute goal to lead De Treffers to a 2-0 victory over Kozakken Boys in the Dutch Tweede Divisie on Saturday.

The visitors avenged a September loss to Kozakken Boys with the shutout win at Sportpark De Zwaaier. De Treffers improved its league record to 11 wins, 7 losses and 5 draws. Kozakken Boys fell to 8-9-4.

Damian Timan of Kozakken Boys received a yellow card in the 27th minute. De Treffers’ Oussama Bouyaghlafen was booked in the 71st. The result defied a pregame statistical projection that favored the home side.
