Preview: Barendrecht Hosts Amsterdamsche W in Tweede Divisie Clash

BARENDRECHT, Netherlands (Interstat) — Barendrecht will look to reverse a recent head-to-head result when it hosts Amsterdamsche W in a Dutch Tweede Divisie match on Saturday.

The home side enters with momentum from a 2-1 road victory over GVVV last Saturday. That win snapped a two-game skid that included losses to Kozakken Boys and VV Ijsselmeervogels. Barendrecht’s form has been inconsistent, with a notable 8-0 loss to Spakenburg in November, but also featuring strong offensive displays like a 4-1 win over HHC Hardenberg in January.

Amsterdamsche W arrives after a 1-1 draw with KVV Quick Boys. The visitors have drawn three of their last four matches, with the other result a scoreless stalemate against Almere City. Their last victory was a 3-1 win over Kozakken Boys on Jan. 24. The team has struggled for consistency, following that win with two draws and a loss in its next three outings.

In the season’s first meeting, Amsterdamsche W secured a 3-1 home win over Barendrecht on Sept. 20.

According to the Interstat game simulator, Saturday’s contest is projected to finish with a 2-1 victory for Barendrecht.

The match is part of the 2025-26 Tweede Divisie season, the third tier of Dutch football. Following this contest, Barendrecht will travel to face Almere City on Feb. 28. Amsterdamsche W will host VV Rijnsburgse Boys on the same date.
