QPR vs Swansea City AFC

Preview: QPR Hosts Swansea City in Championship Clash

LONDON (Interstat) — Queens Park Rangers will host Swansea City on Tuesday in an English Football League Championship match with both teams seeking consistency in the final stretch of the season.

The matchup at Loftus Road is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

QPR (12-11-15) enters on the heels of a 2-0 away loss to Millwall last Saturday. Their form has been uneven, mixing a resounding 6-1 victory over Portsmouth in March with heavy defeats, including a 5-0 loss to Southampton and a 4-0 loss to Middlesbrough. They sit mid-table with little chance of promotion or threat of relegation.

Swansea City (13-12-13), just three points ahead of QPR, is coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Southampton on April 18. Their recent performances reveal a team capable of results but struggling for clean sheets. A 1-0 win at Leicester City on April 11 highlights their potential, but a 3-0 loss to Coventry and a 2-0 loss to Wrexham in March show defensive vulnerabilities.

The head-to-head history favors the hosts. In their last meeting on Oct. 22, 2025, QPR secured a 1-0 victory at Swansea’s stadium.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Tuesday’s contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.

For Swansea, midfielder Olivier Ntcham remains the creative engine, while QPR will look to forward Lyndon Dykes to provide a finishing touch that was absent in their last outing.

Both clubs have two league fixtures remaining after this match. QPR will host Derby County next Saturday before traveling to Ipswich Town on May 2. Swansea will visit Norwich City on April 25 before a final-day home match against Charlton Athletic.

Tuesday’s kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. local time (1845 GMT).
