DIJON, France (Interstat) — Substitute Yanis Barka scored just four minutes after entering the match, lifting Dijon to a 1-0 road victory over Rouen in a National 1 match Thursday at Stade Robert Diochon.

The early second-half strike, assisted by defender Joseph Atangana, decided a contest that statistical models heavily favored the hosts to win. Dijon’s defense held firm despite accumulating five yellow cards, including one to Atangana. Rouen failed to capitalize on its projected advantage, managing no reply.

The result gives Dijon a winning start to its domestic campaign, while Rouen begins with a defeat. Both clubs now hold identical records across all competitions this season.
