RIO DE JANEIRO (Interstat) — RB Bragantino looks to continue its recent dominance over Juventude when the sides meet Monday in a Carioca Série A fixture.

The match at Estádio Alfredo Jaconi pits a mid-table Bragantino side against a Juventude team mired near the bottom of the table. Bragantino (9-8-4) sits seventh, while Juventude (6-13-5) is 15th in the Brazilian competition.

Recent history heavily favors the visitors. Bragantino has won the last two head-to-head meetings, both by 1-0 scores in May of this year.

Bragantino is looking to rebound from a brutal 5-1 loss to Palmeiras on Oct. 15. That defeat snapped a modest two-match unbeaten streak that included a win over Gremio and a draw with Mirassol FC.

Juventude also enters on a losing skid, having fallen 1-0 to Fluminense on Oct. 16. That was its second consecutive loss, part of a difficult stretch where the club has managed just one win in its last five matches across all competitions.
