GREENOCK, Scotland (March 28, 2026) (Interstat) — Greenock Morton opened its Scottish Championship season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Arbroath on Saturday at Cappielow Park.

Owen Moffat gave the visiting side an early lead in the 17th minute. Morton responded with two quick goals, as Curtis Main equalized in the 32nd minute and Findlay Marshall netted the winner just five minutes later. The result defied pre-match projections that favored Arbroath.

The match included three yellow cards, issued to Arbroath’s Scott Robinson and Cameron Blues and Morton’s Zak Delaney in the second half. With the win, Morton begins the league campaign with a perfect record while Arbroath starts with a loss.
