DONCASTER, England (Interstat) — Doncaster Rovers defeated Blackpool 2-1 in a League One match Saturday at Eco-Power Stadium, avenging a loss from the reverse fixture in December.

Midfielder Owen Bailey opened the scoring for the hosts in the 29th minute. Hakeeb Adelakun doubled Doncaster’s lead in the 83rd, assisted by Josh Bowler. Blackpool substitute Ashley Fletcher pulled one back five minutes later, assisted by Niall Ennis.

The match turned chaotic in the final minutes. Blackpool’s Fraser Horsfall received a yellow card in the 74th minute and was sent off with a red card in the 89th. The result improved Doncaster’s League One record to 11 wins, 17 losses and 8 draws. Blackpool fell to 10 wins, 19 losses and 7 draws in the competition.
