IMABARI, Japan (Interstat) — Imabari and Consadole Sapporo played to a 1-1 draw in a J2 League match Sunday at ASICS Satoyama Stadium. Marcus Índio opened the scoring for the hosts in the 57th minute, but his effort was canceled out by a late equalizer from Sapporo substitute Mário Sérgio. Both teams remain winless in league play this season, earning their first point of the campaign. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Imabari to win. Índio also received a yellow card in the 65th minute.
