Imabari vs Consadole Sapporo
TOKYO (Interstat) — A pair of clubs locked in a tight battle for positioning will meet Sunday when Imabari hosts Consadole Sapporo in a J2 League fixture.
The match at Imabari’s home ground kicks off at 2 p.m. local time. According to Interstat’s game simulator, Imabari is projected to edge Sapporo with a 2-1 scoreline.
The two teams have proven to be evenly matched this season, playing to a pair of 2-2 draws in their previous head-to-head meetings, both on June 15.
Sapporo (8-9-13) enters the contest looking to build on a 3-1 victory over Oita Trinita on Nov. 8. That win provided a bright spot in an otherwise difficult stretch for the club, which had lost its two prior matches, including a 5-2 defeat to JEF United Ichihara Chiba.
Imabari (9-8-13) seeks to rebound from a 2-1 road loss to Montedio Yamagata on Nov. 9. Before that, the club earned a notable 3-2 home victory over Vegalta Sendai.
Following this match, Sapporo will host Ehime on Nov. 29, while Imabari travels to face JEF United Ichihara Chiba the same day.
