Roasso Kumamoto vs Renofa Yamaguchi

KUMAMOTO, Japan (Interstat) — Roasso Kumamoto will host Renofa Yamaguchi in a J2 League match on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, with the home side looking to complete a season sweep of its struggling rival.

Roasso Kumamoto (15-21-11, J2 League) has defeated Renofa Yamaguchi (5-20-19, J2 League) twice already this season, both by 1-0 scores in March. Despite a recent 1-0 loss to Oita Trinita, Roasso holds a clear advantage in the standings and overall form.

Renofa Yamaguchi enters the contest with the league’s worst record, having managed just five victories in 44 league matches this season. Their campaign has been defined by an inability to secure wins, though they are coming off a rare 1-0 victory over Kataller Toyama on Oct. 26, which snapped a five-match winless streak across all competitions.

Roasso has been inconsistent but holds a superior record both in the league and across all competitions (20-23-12). The club’s offense has shown more potency than Renofa’s, which has been shut out in nearly half of its recent matches.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw. However, historical data from this season’s head-to-head matchups suggests Roasso’s defense could again prove difficult for Renofa to break down.

The match will be the first of a three-game homestand to close the season for Roasso Kumamoto. Renofa Yamaguchi will look to build on its recent victory before returning home to face Jubilo Iwata on Nov. 9.
