AUBAGNE, France (Interstat) — Aubagne and La Berrichonne de Châteauroux opened their National 1 campaigns with a 1-1 draw Friday at Stade de Lattre de Tassigny.

The visiting side struck first in the 12th minute, with substitute Yanis Chahid finishing for Châteauroux. Aubagne defender Mohamed Nehari leveled the match in the 77th minute, ensuring the points were shared. The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored the home side.
