NEWCASTLE, England (Interstat) — Substitute João Pedro scored a 66th-minute equalizer to secure a 2-2 draw for Chelsea against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at St James’ Park.

Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade opened the scoring in the fourth minute and added a second in the 20th, seemingly putting the hosts in control. Chelsea’s Reece James, also introduced off the bench, pulled one back just before halftime. Pedro then leveled the match in the second half, assisted by James.
