Littoral Dunkerque vs Red Star
PARIS (Interstat) — A stark contrast in form will be on display Tuesday when first-place Red Star visits last-place Littoral Dunkerque in a French Ligue 2 match.
Red Star enters the Oct. 28 contest at Stade Marcel-Tribut riding a three-match winning streak and sitting atop the league table with a 5-2-2 record. Dunkerque, meanwhile, is one of two teams still searching for its first league victory, posting an 0-2-2 record.
The visitors are buoyed by a 1-0 home win over Grenoble Foot 38 this past Friday, part of a run that has seen them lose just once in their last nine matches across all competitions. Their success has been built on a stout defense, conceding just one goal during their current three-game winning streak.
Dunkerque, however, arrives with newfound confidence after a 3-0 road victory against Pau on Friday, a result that snapped a five-match winless streak across all competitions. Despite the win, they remain at the bottom of the 20-team table.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the match is projected to end in a 1-1 draw. Red Star won the last meeting between the two clubs 2-0 in April 2024.
Following this match, Red Star will host Saint-Etienne II on Nov. 1, while Dunkerque travels to face Stade de Reims W the same day.
