Gimpo Citizen vs Hwaseong
SEOUL, South Korea (Interstat) — Gimpo Citizen will host Hwaseong FC in a K League 2 match on Saturday, with the home side looking to continue its recent dominance in the fixture.
Gimpo Citizen (18-11-19) sits higher in the table than Hwaseong (9-16-13) and has won all three of their previous meetings this season by an identical 1-0 scoreline, including a home victory on Aug. 2.
The home side will be aiming to rebound from a 4-1 road loss to Busan I-Park last Saturday. Prior to that defeat, Gimpo had shown strong form, including a 2-0 win over Chungbuk Cheongju FC earlier in October.
Hwaseong, meanwhile, arrives after a 1-0 loss to Seongnam, extending a difficult stretch where it has managed just one win in its last five league matches. Its overall form has been inconsistent, with a record of 12-18-13 across all competitions this season.
Despite the lopsided head-to-head record, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw for Saturday’s contest. The result could be pivotal for both sides as they look to build momentum heading into their final matches of the month against Bucheon 1995 and Suwon Bluewings, respectively.
Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at the Gimpo Stadium.
