ENSCHEDE, Netherlands (Interstat) — Twente began its Eredivisie campaign with a 2-0 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday at De Grolsch Veste.

Sam Lammers scored the decisive goal just before halftime, finding the net in the second minute of first-half stoppage time. Substitute Yassir Salah Rahmouni provided the assist. Twente added a second-half goal to secure the win, with assists from substitutes Milan Smit and Aske Adelgaard.
