LE PETIT-QUEVILLY, France (Interstat) — Rouen and Caen played to a 1-1 draw in a National 1 fixture Friday at Stade Robert Diochon.

Caen substitute Ronny Labonne opened the scoring in the 28th minute. Rouen equalized through Kenny Rocha in the 55th, assisted by Emric Goumot. The match turned chaotic in stoppage time when Caen’s Josué Kimboma received a straight red card in the 90th minute, preceding four yellow cards in the frantic final moments. The result continued a trend of tight contests between the rivals, marking the third consecutive 1-1 draw in their head-to-head meetings this season. The outcome defied pre-match statistical models that heavily favored a Rouen victory.
