DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania (Interstat) — Express Sports and Blacks Power played to a 2-2 draw Sunday in a CAF Champions League match at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side.

Shomari Kapombe opened the scoring for Express Sports in the 39th minute, but Blacks Power’s Yusuph Kagoma equalized just before halftime. Substitute Aboubacar Diakité put Blacks Power ahead in the 64th minute, only for Express Sports substitute Kouceila Boualia to level the match 15 minutes later.

The physical contest featured three yellow cards. Both teams remain winless in the Champions League group stage, each recording a draw and a loss.
