TBILISI, Georgia (Interstat) — Capital city rivals WIT Georgia and Lokomotivi Tbilisi are set to clash on Saturday in an early-round David Kipiani Cup match.

Both clubs enter the fixture seeking their first victory of the 2025 season across all competitions. According to Interstat’s projections, the derby is expected to be a tight contest. The ELO rating system gives Lokomotivi Tbilisi a narrow 51.20 percent probability to win, while the same service’s game simulator predicts a 1-0 victory for the home side, WIT Georgia.

The visiting Lokomotivi will carry some momentum from their most recent outing, a 1-1 draw on the road against Merani Martvili on Oct. 26. WIT Georgia, meanwhile, has been idle since a 2-1 home defeat to SFC Shturmi on Sept. 18, a layoff of over six weeks.

The match will be the season opener in the domestic cup for both sides, who each hold a record of 0-0-0 in the competition. The David Kipiani Cup fixture is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
