DURANGO, Mexico (Interstat) — Durango and Raya2 played to a 1-1 draw Saturday in a Liga de Expansión MX match at Estadio Francisco Zarco.

The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Durango’s Cruz Javier Alejandro Leal Ruíz opened the scoring in the third minute. Raya2’s Michell Adalberto Rodríguez González answered just before halftime, netting the equalizer in the first minute of stoppage time.

The goal secured a road point for Raya2, halting Durango’s momentum. The match featured five yellow cards. Both clubs now hold identical 2-2-2 records in the league competition following the Week 12 fixture.
